Export Stout was first brewed by our own Jamaar Lowe last year to celebrate Black History Month and highlight BIPOC individuals in the brewing industry, and this year, we’re back for brew #2!

From Jamaar: "Last year’s brew and event were such a success, so I hope we can use that momentum to create more substantial change within the industry this year!"

This year, we'll be donating funds to LinkUp (an organization focused on diversifying the craft beer industry through education, scholarships, and collaborative tap programs), as well as to Black Lives Matter Canada.

"I’m happy to see our donation go towards alleviating some of the barriers of entry I’ve had to face so that we can have more passionate people of colour," says Jamaar. "I think it’s obvious that allowing for more diverse voices to be heard in the brewing industry creates a larger variety of delicious beers."
