Brewer

Bellwoods Brewery is looking for an experienced Brewer to join its Hafis Road production facility in Toronto.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of one year of brewing experience and is technically proficient with lots of hands-on experience brewing, cleaning tanks, milling grain, cleaning dry hop vessels and dry hopping beer, adding fruit to beer and keeping a brewery clean and organized. Flexibility in scheduling is also a necessity for this position.

For us, it’s equally important to work well in a team, have a positive attitude, be a respectful communicator, have a great work ethic and be enthusiastic about the creative aspects of the job.

This position is based out of our Hafis Road production facility, which produces a wide range of styles; including hoppy/hazy pale ales and IPAs, pilsners, mixed fermentation sours and barrel aged beer. The facility houses a 35HL brew house, canning and bottling equipment, oak foeders, barrels and a coolship.

If you are interested in this position and feel you meet these requirements (or at least most of them!) please submit a resume and cover letter by email to work@bellwoodsbrewery.com.

Compensation: $50,000/year

At Bellwoods Brewery we are invested in creating a work atmosphere where diversity and inclusion are prioritized. We strive to make our staff feel understood, respected, and supported—and we believe that every industry benefits from commitment to these values. We encourage job applications from diverse communities, those with intersectional identities, and do not discriminate based on gender, religion, race, disability, sexual orientation, age, or any other status.

Packaging Assistant

Bellwoods Brewery is looking for a Packaging Assistant to join our team.

This is an entry-level position and a great opportunity for anyone looking to start a career in the brewing industry. The most important qualities we look for are that you have a positive attitude, enjoy working in a team, and have a great work ethic. It also doesn’t hurt if you enjoy working in a fast paced and hands-on environment, are comfortable troubleshooting mechanical issues, take repetition in stride, and are excited about the creative nature of craft beer.

With that in mind, your day-to-day will involve working with the packaging team to can, bottle, keg, and clean. There is room for you to learn in this position and it can be adapted to a variety of skill levels. While experience in packaging and working in a brewery would be ideal, if you don’t have experience, but feel you make up for it in enthusiasm and people skills, we’d love to hear from you.

Please apply by sending a resume and cover letter to work@bellwoodsbrewery.com.
