Introducing Link Up DIPA — a collab with a mission!
Link Up is a not-for-profit organization that aims to fan the flames of talent and passion of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Colour) beer-lovers through several different avenues. Their mission is to create opportunities for BIPOC folks to access education, make connections with industry professionals, complete apprenticeships, and become brewery owners.
As participants in this great initiative, we are releasing Link Up DIPA — proceeds of which will go towards Link Up’s Cicerone scholarship fund. Further to this, Bellwoods is committing to (and excited to!) bring on a co-op student or apprentice from Link Up’s program, to provide personalized hands-on experience in this industry.
Our Link Up DIPA is doubly special, as it is the first beer we’ve centrifuged at Ossington. Centrifuging removes unwanted hop particulate quickly, so we can make extraordinarily hoppy beers that are even more soft and lovely to drink. This Double IPA was brewed with Citra, Loral, Mosaic and Simcoe hops and offers up delicious notes of freshly squeezed orange juice, sliced peaches and sun-warmed apricots.
