Hellwoods was the very first imperial stout we ever brewed back in 2012, and it has since morphed over the years into a delicious autumn treat that we wait all summer for. For the history buffs, this spooky stout originally began as a Russian Imperial Stout, and has gone through a few other delicious variations, before settling as a no-bells-and-whistles approachable stout.
This year, we took it up a notch from 10% to 11% ABV, but you can bet it's still full-bodied and chewy, with notes of chocolate covered raisins, burnt toffee, and black wine gums.
