FRILLS is our newest IPA series that will lean into the opulence of hops and all that they can do. In the past, we’ve used various hop products to enhance some of our existing brands, but we’ve never had a series specifically dedicated to using them…that’s where FRILLS comes in! FRILLS will allow our brewers to further explore and experiment with these new flavour-boosting hop products, and will include a 6.5% ABV beer as the base.

This instalment of FRILLS utilizes varying hops (as always), but most exciting is the new oil-boosted hop product, Hyperboost, from Yakima Chief Hops!

Hyperboost™, formerly YCH 701, is a high-oil extract that delivers variety-specific hop characteristics, amplifying the flavours and aromas of finished beers. FRILLS Volume 3 features notes of fruit leather, pineapple, blueberry jam, and mango salsa.

We were so honoured to be one of ten breweries chosen by Yakima Chief Hops (alongside breweries from the UK, the USA, Japan, Australia, and Brazil) to launch Hyperboost on a global scale!
