After thoroughly enjoying the process of slowing down to brew lagers over the course of 2018, we decided to head into the new year with an unofficial lager series utilizing yeast strains from Ontario-based Escarpment Labs.

This series helps us to learn the nuances of a wide range of lager yeast strains, and hone our lager making process in general -- it also necessitates the drinking of many crispy lagers, which is a challenge we’ll accept with open arms.

Czech Pilsner is our newest variant in the series, showcasing herbaceous hop flavours and aromas that are held up by a firm but pleasant bitterness and very high drinkability.
