Well this is a fun one!

Every year towards the end of September a small crew of us brewers head over to Yakima, Washington, to participate in our annual hop selection. We are provided a few blind samples of an individual hop variety grown in different regions, from different farms that have undergone different kilning processes, and we sniff them all as vigorously as possible. We collectively decide on which sniffs the best, and that will be the lot that we use for essentially the entire following year.

This time around we were able to get enough of the lot we selected only a few short weeks ago to make a batch of Monogamy Simcoe CY26 (crop year 2026)! It was a standout of the entire selection, and it translates even better into a finished beer!

Expect the same soft, smooth and bright base beer bursting with notes of Flintstones' orange vitamins, freeze-dried strawberries, lemon lollipops and soft rose.
