Though we haven’t even reached the milestone hump-day in this Toronto Beer Week, I want to talk a little bit about our weekend plans (which should be your weekend plans) so that when Friday rolls around, you won’t be the idiot asking everyone what they’re up to. Instead, you’ll get to turn to that idiot and and say, casually as if you didn’t read this on a blog, that you’re going to go enjoy some Bellwoods beer. Duh.
Congratulations, now that you’ve worked your way through that meandering intro, I have a prize for you. The actual details on the awesome weekend we have planned for you fine folks:
Friday — A day of rest. You can sleep and enjoy what is technically the last day of summer, or “solar transition” if you’re a druid. Carpe diem or whatever.
Saturday — (1-4pm) @ our retail space located beside the brewery, 126 Ossington
High Gravity Bottle Sale. As always, we’ve painstakingly bottled by hand a few very special brews. The only bottles we have at the moment are at the far right of the strength spectrum, but fear not, these are the kind of brews that will tuck you in at night as the cold weather threatens arrival. For your drinking pleasure we’ll be offering 750ml bottles of our Hellwoods Imperial Stout (10% ABV), 341ml stubbies and 650ml bombers of Last Splash Strong Ale (9.3% ABV), 650ml bombers of a yet unreleased barrel-aged, sour Tripel with yellow plums, that still remains unnamed. Last but not least, the Witchshark has returned and will be available in 650ml bombers.
Sunday — (12-4pm) @ Evergreen Brickworks, located @ 550 Bayview Avenue
Wake up you lazy bones! Come out to the latest event in the Brewer’s Backyard series and enjoy beers from us and Indie Alehouse. Food will be prepared by our former chef extraordinaire Guy Rawlings, and Indie Alehouse too. Think of it as a casual after-party to what was surely an exciting week of beer events. Lucky for you there’s lots of green space and fresh air — something to remind you that there is life after whatever you did on Saturday night.
Monday — (6-9pm) @ Bellwoods Brewery, located @ 124 Ossington
Return to civilization with our incredible Fall Harvest Dinner prepared by chef Guy Rawlings. The meal will feature locally-sourced mutton, delicious farm-fresh creations, and multiple beer pairings. Buy tickets here to reserve your spot!
